Update.

Alright as mentioned in my last post I have been slacking. My husband kindly pointed out that I was doing so well and then just stopped. WHY?? I don't know so I am back on track, well kind of.
I have worked out 3 times this week and one of those was on the treadmill. I ran for 30 minutes and walked for 10. I went a distance of 2.5 miles in 40:30 minutes. So if I keep that pace it is going to take me about 50 minutes to do my 5K. Do I have any idea how long I want to do it? Not really. Surely faster than that. However I plan on getting on every day for the next coming week and hopefully build up some endurance and get it done in 45 minutes. I loaded some up beat songs on my little ipod to keep me going and if any of you want to come cheer me on the race is..

There is also a light parade afterwards that starts at 5:30pm. So ready or not here I go!!
I think it is going to be a lot of fun and I am excited and nervous to do it.

can you say slacker??

Yes it is true I have been slacking BIG time!
I can't seem to keep motivated to keep to my food diary and exercising daily. Even though my 5k is only a little over a week and a half away. I don't know why. I loves seeing the numbers on the scale going down and my clothes getting a little looser. My friend at work has did a vegan diet for 10 days and lost 3 pounds way to go S!!! I considered this diet for about 2 seconds. I really don't think I could do it. Maybe I need to think on it for 2 more seconds.
So friends in cyber space what keeps you motivated.

5K

OK let the training begin!!
I have about 3 weeks to get ready for my 5k! Think I can do it?
I don't have a choice the money has been paid.
No more excuses I am hitting the pavement. I think it will be easier and a little more enjoyable now that I have a little i pod shuffle to keep me entertained. Thanks Ryan for the birthday gift!
I just need to load a few more songs and I am set! wish me luck!

Biggest loser is over.

Today was the last weigh in for my biggest loser contest.
This is a little sad really. However I think I did rather well.
A total of 19.6 pounds lost
a percentage of 9.0%!!!
Is it enough to get me some cash?
We'll see.
Really I didn't do it for the money
I had actually kind of forgotten about it really.
I did it more for me!
I want to be healthier and happier.
So I guess if you are rounding up I have made it to my goal
WOOT WOOT!!
One other happy note I am out of the 200's!! Now on to the next 20 pounds!!

ONE WEEK LEFT

of my biggest loser contest that is! This is the week I will lose 3 lbs to hit 20lbs lost!!
I didn't have a change in weight loss this past week and I know it is because I slacked on my exercising and didn't really pay attention to what I was eating. It is amazing how much that affects things.
This week I seem to be doing better. So there is my update not so exciting but hey we all have tough weeks right!
Well besides my 5K that I am going to do in December which I am recruiting friends! Feel free to join me!! I think it will be much for fun if I have friends to go run with.
I am also going to try for another 20 lbs by Christmas and then another 20 by March 1st. Which is when I am leaving for Hawaii!! So wish me luck I am only about a 1/3 of the way to where I want to be!

surprise

OK yesterday was a bit of a downer day all around. This morning however brought a surprise. After going to my kickboxing class, which I am sure that I am going to be sore until next week. I came home showered and was looking for something to wear. I decided to try a pair of pants that is a size smaller than what I have been wearing and to my surprise they fit!! They are still a little on the tight side but not uncomfortable. YEA ME!!! I'm feeling a little better about all this losing weight and getting in shape stuff. A friend of mine a kickboxing also told me about a 5k in Spanish Fork on the 25th of this month. What do you think? Can I do it??

Update

Well this weeks weigh in was a little disappointing. I lost 1.4 pounds. I am feeling a little bit discouraged for a couple of reasons.

#1 I am really close to losing that first 20 pounds only 5 more to go!!
{this really isn't discouraging as much as I am so close to my goal that I am anxious to get there and it is just taking a long time. Which I know it is going to but still}

#2 The last 2 weeks I have had low weight loss.
{really 1-2 pounds lost in 1 week is awesome and I am proud of myself. I just had that REALLY AWESOME week where I lost 5 pounds and I keep hoping it will happen again. I know it is not always going to be like that but I wish it where. I also think that I haven't been pushing myself as hard as I could. I have been slacking off and need to get back on track. I have still been writing down everything that I eat and counting calories. I need to get back on the NO eating after 8pm and LOTS more water. I did restock on my crystal light stash so this should be easier!}

#3 I am anxious to get to where I want to be and I want it to come quickly!
{I really am anticipating seeing results I guess I keep thinking that I should be seeing some results and I have a couple of pairs of pants that are feeling a little loose. I just really want to get into a smaller size. I have a couple of skirts and pants that I outgrew and I really want to get back into them again. Shouldn't I be able to be in a smaller size now that I have lost 15 pounds?}

#4 I am also really close to being out of the 200 lb range.
{This is hard to put out there where the world can see so go easy on me OK? I am excited and discouraged because I am so close but at the rate I am going it may take me a couple more weeks to get back down below 200 which I haven't been in almost 3 years!}

#5 I am close to my goal but I don't have another one
{I think I need something to work toward but really I can't think of what. I've been debating running a 5k. I am a little scared though. Maybe I should search and see what I can find. Maybe in the winter in St George there will be something.}

So there you have it. My update for the week. Have a mentioned lately that I got in a 14 minute mile? Slowly I am getting faster and it is getting easier too!

Weigh in day!!

Today was biggest loser babes weigh in day! Any guesses as to how I did??
Not nearly as good as last week which was a disappointment!
I did lose. A loss is a loss right?
So here are the numbers...
this week~ 1.2 pounds lost (see not so hot)
total~ 14 pounds lost! Which I am way stoked about.
I am going to try mixing things up a bit and see if that helps speed things along.
Yes I am very impatient and would like the weight to all fall off NOW!
I am aware that this is NOT how things work and it takes lots of hard work to get off the weight that was oh so easy to put on! Little steps right and hey I am 6 pounds away from my birthday goal! WAA HOO!

Running

Its kind of fun to see the improvement that I am making in my running. I'm not much faster but I am now averaging a 15 minute mile, which if you remember is 30 seconds faster than the last time I posted. I am still hoping to get faster and may even try to find a 5k that I could do before the year is out.

Weigh in day!

I thought for sure this week was going to be a rough one. I fell off track on my exercising and threw my diet out the window for a couple of days. Eating rolls and chocolate cake and drinking soda. I'm positive I gained everything that I had lost. I was kind of dreading getting on the scale this morning. I did it any way and guess what...
I LOST 5.6 POUNDS THIS LAST WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yes it is true! Can you believe it? I couldn't I got on the scale 5 times just to be sure! I am now down 12.4 pounds!! only 7.6 more to go to hit that birthday goal!
I am so motivated to keep going. I want to exercise all the time. I think I am driving my family nuts. The other day I was writing down calories and Remington was watching and disgusted said "why do you write down your calories?" I told him it was so I could know how much I was eating. he rolled his eyes and said "whatever". My poor kids. He does now ask me how many calories are in things.

Running

Well I am happy to say that the treadmill that I got for my birthday like 3 years ago is no longer being used a clothes rack. HAHAHA!!
I have been running and walking on it. I'm trying to get faster on it. I seem to be improving slightly. That is how it goes isn't it? I am now running a 15 1/2 minute mile. I know it sounds slow I really would like to get down to a 10 minute mile is that crazy??

Weigh in Wednesday results!!

Well it is once again its Wednesday!! Which means weigh in day for my biggest loser contest. I am down another 2.6 pounds since last week. If you are keeping track that is down 7.2 pounds since starting!! Which means that I only have about 13 pounds to go to get to my goal of 20 pounds by my birthday. I think I am going to smash that goal!!!
Its so much harder to take it off than it is to put it on!!
I did have someone tell me that I am looking good and my face looks slimmer. This is nice to hear since I am not seeing any difference in my body. I am anxious to lose some "baby weight" Yes I am aware that my baby is 2!!
I did put on a pair of jeans this morning and they felt looser but I think this was all in my head!

Update

Well my biggest loser contest is under way and our weigh in was Wednedsay.
I am down 4.6 lbs since starting. Which is a 2.1% weight loss. All of my online searching says that this is a good weight loss. I am happy and this means I have about 15 more to go to hit my birthday goal! I may surpass it which would be awesome!!!

Work out Update!

I have been working out everyday this week. Mostly I have been getting on my treadmill. It has been a while since I was using it. Sad I know!! Anyway I got on it today and walked at the highest incline for 10 minutes. {My rear is going to be sore!} Then I lowered the incline and
jogged for 22 minutes straight no stopping!!!!
Can I get a woot woot!!!

I probably could have gone longer too but the kiddos were needing some attention. Don't they know that if I get in a workout I will be a much happier mommy?? I have also been watching what I eat. Just for the record counting calories sucks my will to live. There should be a better way!!
I am so proud of my self for running that long. I think if I were outside I would have quit before then. The treadmill makes me keep going. So I guess I am off to a good start!

Biggest Loser

My cousin Amber has started a Biggest Loser Competition. I have always wanted to do one of these. I have a friend at work that did one and she lost a ton of weight. I have just needed a little boost to get me going. There are about 12 ladies doing it together and we are all over Utah and Idaho. We have a group on Face book and that is how we are staying in touch. We are also doing challenges every week. I hope this is the jump I need to get me to that 20 lb goal by my birthday. This competition goes for 8 weeks! Stay tuned today was our weigh in!!

Biggest Loser

My Cousin had an idea to do a Biggest Loser contest.
We are keeping track of it on Facebook. Ladies from all over are joining in.
We are going for 8 weeks starting on Wednesday.
The pay in is $10-20 this part hasn't been decided yet.

DAY 1 down 79 to go!

I am beginning to think this running hype is overrated. Maybe I just need to give it some more time.
I ran/walked (walked more than ran) 1.7 miles on my treadmill in 38 minutes and burned 251 calories than I did 20 push ups and about 3 minutes of abs.
It felt good. I hope I can remember this felling on Monday when I try to get moving! Here we go to 20 LBS!!!!!!

Running

I went on a walk & little run tonight. I was only gone about 20 minutes. I need to either go before it gets to dark or in the morning. I think with school starting I will load up the little boys as the oldest is leaving and walk with him. This is my plan. I kind of like the night though. Well see what happens!
